British company Communic8 has opted not to face a future firestorm of public controversy, and is killing the MyMo, their line of phones aimed at children ages 4 to 8.

There is a serious dearth of coverage about the new W22SA in English, however we??ve been able to catch the basic details. It has all the same features of the W21SA, including OCR translatation software that lets you take a picture of text in English and display the Japanese word. The 22 forgoes the 21??s twist and flip screen in favor of a more traditional flip but it??s still packed full of gadgety goodness. We can??t confirm exactly Sony is working on here, but supposedly some sort of software upgrade for the PlayStation Portable has leaked out that??ll let you use the portable game console for web browsing, music downloads and word processing. Unless Sony is serious about coming out with that keyboard attachment spotted at E3, there??s no way in hell we??re writing anything on a PSP except our initials when we get a high score. »»

Sony may have found the killer app to get non-gamers to fork over their cash for the upcoming PlayStation Portable: the unit will also serve as a broadband-enabled TV, allowing users to pick up hometown TV from anywhere in the world via a wired or WiFi connection.
