Anannya Sens Review

An addictive bike rally game that is simple to play with levels to unlock. Recommended.
African Rally reminds me of all those forward scrolling driving / riding games back in the days of the Atari. You have to race your bike through different stages, unlocking each level and avoiding rocks.
The graphics are pretty decent. The bike itself looks quite nice, if a bit small, and the colours and backgrounds are well done. The water and rocks and jumps are nicely animated as well. Nothing amazing here, but a good job nonetheless.
There is no sound. Again, a decent game which could easily have been improved if there was sound.
The controls are easy to pick up, the bike accelerates automatically once you press up. Left and right will steer and the 5 key switches between the two gears. Back to brake obviously. You can use the key pad or directional pad.
The game has good playability. The bike is fun to ride and there are plenty of jumps. The speed feels nice as the rocks and track whizzes past you. The game is pretty simple and not that hard to get through, although the later levels are quite challenging. There are plenty of obstacles in the way of rocks coming at you at high speed and also streams which slow you down. These can all be jumped over by riding over logs, and it??s this feeling of jumping at speed which makes the game so much fun to play.
The lastability is good as there are plenty of levels to unlock. There are two modes, single race or rally. Rally lets you unlock the different levels and single race lets you try and beat your best time for the races you have unlocked. You can also connect to the network to view and upload your high scores.
